Fillmore City ordinance requires that dogs be licensed each year by June 30th, with proof of current rabies information required. New residents must license dogs within 10 calendar days of moving to Fillmore City. Persons who acquire dogs over six months of age shall have ten calendar days from the date of acquisition or the dog’s six-month birthday to acquire the dog’s license. Dogs must be kept on the owner’s property or on a leash when allowed off the property. Contact Fillmore City office (mailto:clerk@fillmoreutah.gov) regarding the fees for dog licenses. Fillmore City only has the facilities to accommodate dogs.

License Fees
- Neutered or spayed: $5.00 (by June 30th), $12.50 (after June 30th)
- All others: $12.50 (by June 30th), $22.50 (after June 30th)
After August 31, delinquent owners shall be cited.
Impound Fees
Non-Dangerous / Non-Vicious Animals
- 1st offense: $30.00* impound fee, $1.50/day feed & care
- 2nd offense: $50.00* impound fee, $5.00/day feed & care
- 3rd offense: $125.00* impound fee, $5.00/day feed & care
Dangerous / Vicious Animals
- 1st offense: $100.00* impound fee, $1.50/day feed & care
- 2nd offense: $120.00* impound fee, $5.00/day feed & care
- 3rd offense: $195.00* impound fee, $5.00/day feed & care
After-Hours Impound Fee: Add $20.00 to any impound fee if called after Fillmore City posted office hours. Feed and care fees still apply.
Additional Fees
- Impound by Sheriff or UHP (work hours): $65.00
- Impound by Sheriff or UHP (after hours): $71.00
- Animal Relinquish to City: $20.00 and proof of Rabies vaccination or pay an additional $20.00 fee for inoculation.
- Kennel Permit (due June 30th annually): $25.00
- Adoption Fee: $25.00 Applicants must provide proof of permanent residence in Fillmore City and are required to spay or neuter their dog and receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of adoption.
